Just to set the stage, the Human[X] conference took place at Las Vegas’ newest addition to its collection of properties on the Las Vegas Strip—the Fontainebleau Hotel. Sparkling chandeliers, bright lights, buzzing hallways, autonomous rolling robots dispensing charging kits, Great Danes prancing to the beat of the DJ’s latest hits, holograms forming from a few simple prompts, and 3,000+ technologists preparing their 30-second pitches to put their early-stage startups on the map. This is the Human[X] experience.

Human[X] is the first AI conference of its kind, attracting organizations of all sizes to come together and ask some of the most consequential questions of our time:
- What will be the impact of Agentic AI across industries? How should this Agentic AI landscape be governed?
- When is the right time to question the return on investment (ROI) of AI in the enterprise?
- In the case of a recession, what does that mean for investment in AI platforms and technologies?
- Who bears the responsibility of upskilling the workforce of the future and improving society’s AI literacy and maturity? What about our most vulnerable populations?
- What will the future of AI look like in 2050? Will it be a series of zero-touch models, or will humans remain in the loop? Will humans coexist harmoniously with robots that can perform nearly every task better than their human counterparts?
While these questions may seem futuristic, Human[X] made it clear that there is a dire need to build a multi-stakeholder ecosystem across the public sector, private sector, government, and academia. The goal? To elevate the human experience while also ensuring businesses remain competitive.
Are AI Agents All Hype, or Are They Showing Promise?
As you swiftly move through the Fontainebleau hallways, it would have been a miracle if the phrase “AI Agents” weren’t uttered. With the latest announcements from the Chinese company Manus, Agentic AI was top of mind for nearly every attendee at the event.
In fact, Christian Kletz, CEO and Co-Founder of UserGems, shared, “88% of organizations are exploring AI agents.” More revealing was that most companies are now moving beyond testing AI agents and are struggling to put them into production. While the race toward an Agentic AI future is here to stay, we are still searching for the gold standard that will help teams realize the promise of this future. This is an exciting market moment for AI agents, and the world is primed for their deployment at scale.
AI agents extend beyond people and processes. Some of the most promising applications of this revolutionary technology are currently being experienced at the tooling level. As society becomes more reliant on AI, the need for continuous evaluation of large language models (LLMs) grows exponentially.

Shameless plug: During the “Business Leader’s Playbook for AI Governance” session, Credo AI Founder and CEO, Navrina Singh, announced Credo AI’s newly launched Model Trust Scores—the industry’s first set of trust indexes designed to evaluate AI applications in real-world business contexts and industry-specific use cases. Unlike static benchmarks, these scores consider the trade-offs enterprises make across factors such as capability, safety, affordability, and speed.
Back to the regular programming. The final theme of AI agents centered on trust and transparency. Whether an organization leverages an open-weight AI model or a third-party vendor, there is a growing demand for transparency across the entire AI supply chain. This presents yet another opportunity to tap into our collective wisdom to push the boundaries of possibility. Organizations must also develop adaptive risk management frameworks to take a more dynamic approach to protecting their businesses as they deepen their investments in an agentic AI future. This was evident when Rahul Ponnala, CEO and Co-Founder of Granica.AI, shared an example of a law firm that lost a $10M case due to false AI-generated outputs. This highlights the importance of evaluating high-stakes outputs, keeping humans in the loop, and implementing robust red teaming strategies.
If the Chief Financial Officer Isn’t on Board, Good Luck With Your Next AI Investment
Founder and CEO of LotusAI shared, “Good business is always done in a trustworthy way.” Trustworthy AI must also make business sense. Organizations are now shifting their focus to the tangible return on investment (ROI) of AI in the enterprise. During the thought-provoking session “AI-Powered Transformation: The Enterprise Landscape of 2025,” Rasmus Holst, CEO of Zensai, emphasized, “The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) needs to be at the table when adopting Generative AI…they help make AI adoption real and need to see ROI to allocate more resources and talent.”
This sparked a broader conversation about the need for enterprise incentives that align with business outcomes rather than sinking more money into what could become a bottomless pit of experimentation.

AI is a revenue multiplier—if used correctly. According to UserGems Labs, “Humans (sales reps) miss 85% of buying signals, which indicate when a company or buyer is more likely to convert.” This underscores the massive opportunity to leverage human ingenuity, define AI opportunities, choose the right AI solutions, implement them effectively, and establish trust among customers.
AI Salons: Intimate Gatherings Where Understanding Meets Challenging the Status Quo

At Human[X], it’s easy to get lost in a sea of jam-packed lineups and powerhouse sessions. To kick off my experience, I attended my first-ever AI Salon session—an intimate gathering where AI enthusiasts from different sectors, tenures, and perspectives convened to discuss the Future of Work and our role in shaping it. These conversations, moderated in small groups, encouraged every participant to contribute their point of view while incorporating qualitative data points to support their claims.
One of the most thought-provoking questions posed was, “When is it okay to replace people with AI, and whose responsibility is it to care for the most vulnerable members of our society, including the growing homeless population in SF, LA, and Las Vegas?” The discussion sparked varying viewpoints—some believed that those who learn to leverage AI will gain a competitive edge, while others argued that fear of progress arises when people can’t see themselves in the future.
A sentiment that stuck with me: “Human evolution is here. We, as humans, will rise.”
AI 2050 Is Almost Here. So What’s Next?
Several predictions emerged about the future intersection of humanity, artificial intelligence, robotics, and community impact. While no one can predict with certainty, here are a few standouts:
- AI agents will cement their place in society. They will not only govern AI but also humans, fostering a symbiotic relationship that augments our experience.
- AI literacy will play a pivotal role in workforce development. As AI models become more user-friendly, they will level the playing field across technical and non-technical individuals.
- Robotics will create desirable new jobs. As robots integrate into daily life, they will enable humans to develop new forms of intelligence—both cognitive and physical.
- Big Tech will continue its meteoric rise. Sequoia Capital Partner Alfred Lin boldly predicted, “Google, Nvidia, and Apple—already worth $1T—will be worth 10 to 20 trillion dollars in a few decades.” A trillion-dollar robotics company? Absolutely feasible.
- Humans will remain in the loop. Period.
